قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عِندِيٓۚ أَوَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ أَهۡلَكَ مِن قَبۡلِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مَنۡ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُ قُوَّةٗ وَأَكۡثَرُ جَمۡعٗاۚ وَلَا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
78. (Korah) said: "I have been given it only because of the knowledge I have." Did he not know that Allāh had destroyed before him of the (sinful) generations those who were mightier in strength than him and greater in accumulation (of wealth)? The guilty will not be asked about their sins [27].
[27]. In order to verify them, but only to rebuke and punish them by their sins.
