مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبۡنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ كَيۡ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةَۢ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡأَغۡنِيَآءِ مِنكُمۡۚ وَمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُمۡ عَنۡهُ فَٱنتَهُواْۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
7. Whatever Allāh restored (of wealth) to His messenger from the people of the towns [4], it is for Allāh, the messenger, the kinsfolk [5], the orphans, the destitute and the (stranded) traveler (stranger and foreigner), so that it (i.e., the wealth) may not circulate between the rich among you. Whatever the messenger (the Prophet Muhammad) gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it. Fear Allāh (and shun evil). Indeed, Allāh is Severe in Punishment.
[4]. Who are in war with him.
[5]. Whom the Prophet (ﷺ) had prohibited from accepting charity.
