Umurongo: 3

نَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ

3. He has been sending down upon you (Muhammad) the Book (Qur’an) in truth, confirming that which precedes it (of Divine Scriptures), and He sent down the Torah and the Evangel2.

Injīl (Evangel; Gospel) is the Arabic name for the Scripture that was given to Jesus.-Injīl, in Islam, is not to be identified with the extant biblical ‘New Testament’; rather it is believed, as told in the Qur’an, to have been revealed to Jesus, son of Mary, as a whole. It is also believed to have either been lost or corrupted. The same goes for the Torah, to a great extent. Not all the words in the today's Bible are God’s words. But there are some words of the bible are God's which is confirmed by the Qur’an. Any one who says that the words of the bible are all the words of God is blaspheming God. The Qur'an is unique in being the only Book that is free of inaccuracies, whose text has been so carefully preserved and are all God's Words.
