As-Saff

Ajeti: 1

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

1. All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorify Allāh. He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Ajeti: 2

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفۡعَلُونَ

2. O believers, why do you say what you do not do¹?

1. Muhammad, God's messenger (ﷺ) said: “A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and will be cast into Hell, and his intestines will pour forth and he will go round them as a donkey goes round a millstone. The inmates of Hell will gather round him and say: ‘What has happened to you, O so-and-so? Were you not enjoining us to do good and forbidding us to do evil?’ He will reply: ‘Yes, I was enjoining you to do good, but was not doing it myself; and I was forbidding you to do evil, but was doing it myself.'”

Ajeti: 3

كَبُرَ مَقۡتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَن تَقُولُواْ مَا لَا تَفۡعَلُونَ

3. It is most hateful in the Sight of Allāh that you say what you do not do.

Ajeti: 4

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِهِۦ صَفّٗا كَأَنَّهُم بُنۡيَٰنٞ مَّرۡصُوصٞ

4. Indeed, Allāh loves those who fight for His cause in rows, as if they are a solid structure.

Ajeti: 5

وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦ يَٰقَوۡمِ لِمَ تُؤۡذُونَنِي وَقَد تَّعۡلَمُونَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَلَمَّا زَاغُوٓاْ أَزَاغَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ

5. And "mention O Muhammad" when Moses said to his people: "O my people, why do you hurt me while you know that I am Allah’s messenger to you?" When they deviated (from Islam), Allāh made their hearts deviate. For Allāh does not guide the rebellious people.

Ajeti: 6

وَإِذۡ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُم مُّصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَمُبَشِّرَۢا بِرَسُولٖ يَأۡتِي مِنۢ بَعۡدِي ٱسۡمُهُۥٓ أَحۡمَدُۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالُواْ هَٰذَا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ

6. And when Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O children of Israel, I am the Messenger of Allāh to you², confirming that which is before me of the Torah and giving the good news of a Messenger who will come after me, his name being Ahmad³." but when he came to them with clear Proofs they said: "This is clear sorcery⁴."

2. If you declare with your mouth, “that there is no god worthy of worship except Allāh, and that Mohammad is God's servant and messenger, and that Jesus is God's servant and messenger” and sincerely believe that in your heart, you will be saved from the Hellfire and admitted to heaven (Paradise).
3. I.e., Muhammad, which means the much-praised, the Parakletos.
4. Realizing Jesus worked something miraculous, the religious leaders had to attribute his power to something and somewhere. They chose to accuse Jesus of being demonically controlled by the demons. Jesus, on the other hand, stated His power is from Allāh, the Creator of all beings. The fact that these men accused Jesus of performing miracles by demonic power caused Jesus to warn them about committing the unpardonable sin, that is associating partners with Allāh in worship. He warned them of idolatry, blasphemy, and inventing lies against Allāh (God).

Ajeti: 7

وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُوَ يُدۡعَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

7. Who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allāh while being invited to Islam⁴. (Know that) Allāh does not guide the unjust people.

4. Peace and total submission to God.

Ajeti: 8

يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ

8. They want to extinguish the Light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh will perfect His light, even though the deniers may dislike it.

Ajeti: 9

هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَرۡسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلۡحَقِّ لِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكُونَ

9. It is He 'Allāh' Who sent His messenger (Muhammad) with the guidance and the true religion, to manifest it over all other (false) religions, even though the pagans may dislike it.

Ajeti: 10

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ تِجَٰرَةٖ تُنجِيكُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ

10. O believers, shall I show you a bargain that will deliver you from a painful torment.

Ajeti: 11

تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُجَٰهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ وَأَنفُسِكُمۡۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

11. It is to believe in Allāh and His messenger 'Muhammad' and strive hard for Allah’s Cause with your wealth and your lives. That is better for you - if only you knew it.

Ajeti: 12

يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡ وَيُدۡخِلۡكُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ وَمَسَٰكِنَ طَيِّبَةٗ فِي جَنَّٰتِ عَدۡنٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

12. Allāh will forgive your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and goodly dwellings in Gardens of Eden - that is the great achievement;

Ajeti: 13

وَأُخۡرَىٰ تُحِبُّونَهَاۖ نَصۡرٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَفَتۡحٞ قَرِيبٞۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

13. (He will grant you also) another (blessing) that you love: Help from Allāh and a near victory. Give such good news to the believers.

Ajeti: 14

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُوٓاْ أَنصَارَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَا قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ لِلۡحَوَارِيِّـۧنَ مَنۡ أَنصَارِيٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحۡنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِۖ فَـَٔامَنَت طَّآئِفَةٞ مِّنۢ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَكَفَرَت طَّآئِفَةٞۖ فَأَيَّدۡنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ عَلَىٰ عَدُوِّهِمۡ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ ظَٰهِرِينَ

14. O believers, be helpers of Allah’s Cause, as Jesus, son of Mary, said to (his) disciples: "Who will be my helpers (for the Cause) of Allāh?" The disciples said: "We are the helpers (in the cause) of Allāh." So a group of the children of Israel believed in him, and another rejected him. We then supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became the uppermost.
