மொழிபெயர்ப்பு அத்தியாயம் ஹூத் - ஆங்கில மொழிபெயர்ப்பு - அப்துல்லாஹ் ஹஸன் யஃகூப் - பக்க எண் 228 - அல்குர்ஆன் கலைக்களஞ்சியம்

வசனம்: 54

إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ بَعۡضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوٓءٖۗ قَالَ إِنِّيٓ أُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشۡهَدُوٓاْ أَنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ

54. We say nothing but that 'perhaps' some of our gods have smitten you with evil." He said: "I call Allāh to witness, and do you bear witness too, that I am clear of all that you associate 'with Him in worship' as partners,

வசனம்: 55

مِن دُونِهِۦۖ فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ لَا تُنظِرُونِ

55. Besides Him, so plot against me, all of you; then give me no respite;

வசனம்: 56

إِنِّي تَوَكَّلۡتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمۚ مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذُۢ بِنَاصِيَتِهَآۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

56. I have put my trust on Allāh - my Lord and your Lord. There is no moving creature but He holds it by its forelock 'and is under His complete control'. My Lord 'Allāh' is just and upright 'without iniquity' 7.”

7. I.e., A God of faithfulness and without iniquity. He is just, upright, wise, and upon a right course in all matters.

வசனம்: 57

فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَقَدۡ أَبۡلَغۡتُكُم مَّآ أُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَيۡكُمۡۚ وَيَسۡتَخۡلِفُ رَبِّي قَوۡمًا غَيۡرَكُمۡ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَفِيظٞ

57. But if you turn away, then I have conveyed to you the Message with which I have been sent to you, and my Lord 'Allāh' will bring another people in your place, and you cannot do Him any harm. My Lord is indeed the Preserver of all things.

வசனம்: 58

وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّيۡنَا هُودٗا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةٖ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٖ

58. When Our decree came to pass, We delivered Hud and those who believed with him, as a Mercy from Us, and We delivered them from a severe torment.

வசனம்: 59

وَتِلۡكَ عَادٞۖ جَحَدُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَصَوۡاْ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ

59. Such were the people of ‘Aad. They rejected the Signs of their Lord 'Allāh', and disobeyed His messengers and followed the command of every stubborn tyrant.

வசனம்: 60

وَأُتۡبِعُواْ فِي هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا لَعۡنَةٗ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ عَادٗا كَفَرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدٗا لِّعَادٖ قَوۡمِ هُودٖ

60. They were overtaken by a Curse in this world and on the Day of Resurrection. Aad certainly denied their Lord 'Allāh. So away with ‘Aad, the people of Hud.

வசனம்: 61

۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَٰلِحٗاۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَٰهٍ غَيۡرُهُۥۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِيهَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٞ مُّجِيبٞ

61. To (the people of) Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: "My people, worship Allāh alone, you have no god (worthy of worship) other than Him. It is He Who has created you from the earth, and made you its cultivators. So ask His forgiveness then repent to Him. My Lord 'Allāh" is Near, Answering (the prayers).

வசனம்: 62

قَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرۡجُوّٗا قَبۡلَ هَٰذَآۖ أَتَنۡهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ مَا يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَآ إِلَيۡهِ مُرِيبٖ

62. They said: "O Salih, you were one amongst us on whom great expectations were placed before this. Do you (now) forbid us from worshiping what our fathers worshiped? And as to that which you call us to, we are in grave doubt about it.
