54 : 11

إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ بَعۡضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوٓءٖۗ قَالَ إِنِّيٓ أُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشۡهَدُوٓاْ أَنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ

54. [They said]: “We only say that some of our gods have afflicted you with evil.” He replied: “I call Allāh to witness — and bear witness yourselves — that I am free from all that you associate [in worship].” info

55 : 11

مِن دُونِهِۦۖ فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ لَا تُنظِرُونِ

55. Besides Allāh, so plot against me all of you together, then give me no respite! info

56 : 11

إِنِّي تَوَكَّلۡتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمۚ مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذُۢ بِنَاصِيَتِهَآۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

56. Indeed, I have put my trust in Allāh — my Lord and your Lord. There is no moving creature but He holds it by its forelock. Surely, my Lord is on a straight path [8].” info

[8]. I.e., perfectly upright and just without the slightest injustice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity. He is just, upright, wise, and upon a right course in all matters.

57 : 11

فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَقَدۡ أَبۡلَغۡتُكُم مَّآ أُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَيۡكُمۡۚ وَيَسۡتَخۡلِفُ رَبِّي قَوۡمًا غَيۡرَكُمۡ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَفِيظٞ

57.  But if you turn away, then I have already conveyed to you the message with which I was sent to you. And my Lord will replace you with another people, and you cannot harm Him in the least. Indeed, my Lord is the Watcher over all things. info

58 : 11

وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّيۡنَا هُودٗا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةٖ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٖ

58. When Our command came to pass,
We saved Hūd and those who believed with him, by a mercy from Us. And We delivered them from a harsh torment.

59 : 11

وَتِلۡكَ عَادٞۖ جَحَدُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَصَوۡاْ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ

59. Such were [the people of] ʿĀd. They rejected the signs of their Lord, disobeyed His messengers, and followed the command of every stubborn tyrant. info

60 : 11

وَأُتۡبِعُواْ فِي هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا لَعۡنَةٗ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ عَادٗا كَفَرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدٗا لِّعَادٖ قَوۡمِ هُودٖ

60. They were pursued in this world by a curse, and [will be cursed] on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, ʿĀd disbelieved in their Lord. So, away with ʿĀd — the people of Hūd! info

61 : 11

۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَٰلِحٗاۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَٰهٍ غَيۡرُهُۥۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِيهَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٞ مُّجِيبٞ

61. To [the people of] Thamūd [We sent] their brother Ṣāliḥ. He said, “O my people, worship Allāh [alone]; you have no deity other than Him. He brought you forth from the earth and has made you inhabit therein [to cultivate and develop it]. So seek His forgiveness, then turn to Him in repentance. Indeed, my Lord is Near, Responsive.” info

62 : 11

قَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرۡجُوّٗا قَبۡلَ هَٰذَآۖ أَتَنۡهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ مَا يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَآ إِلَيۡهِ مُرِيبٖ

62. They said: "O Salih, We used to have great hopes in you before this. Do you [now] forbid us from worshiping what our fathers worshiped? We are in grave doubt as to that which you call us to it, suspicious. info
