Al-Masad

వచనం: 1

تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ

1. Perished be the two hands of Abu Lahab¹, and may he be perished.

1. The Prophet's uncle, one of his staunchest opponents, along with every other enemy to Islam.

వచనం: 2

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

2. His wealth did not avail him and what he earned.

వచనం: 3

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ

3. He will soon enter and burn in a Fire that blazes,

వచనం: 4

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ

4. And his spouse too, the carrier of firewood²,

2. Evil tales, slanders, and thorns to throw into the path of the Prophet.

వచనం: 5

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ

5. Around her neck is a rope of palm-fibre.
