فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
8. We destroyed those who were stronger than these (pagans) in power, and the example of the predecessors have already been related,
