۞ وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوۡمُكَ مِنۡهُ يَصِدُّونَ
57. And when is quoted the son of Mary (Jesus) as an example [16] behold, your people laughed out about it (at the example) [17]
[16]. Of being worshiped along with Allāh.
[17]. Arguing that Jesus will be in Hell as well! The Prophet replied that the verse was talking exclusively about idols, adding that Jesus himself did not ask to be worshiped.
