Al-‘Alaq

96
ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ
1. Recite in the Name of your Lord (Allāh), Who created,
التفاسير:
2
:
96
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ
2. Created man from a clot.
التفاسير:
3
:
96
ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ
3. Recite, and your Lord (Allāh) is the Most Honorable,
التفاسير:
4
:
96
ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ
4. Who taught (people to write) by the pen,
التفاسير:
5
:
96
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ
5. Taught man what he knew not.
التفاسير:
6
:
96
كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطۡغَىٰٓ
6. No! Indeed, man (the denier) transgresses (in denial and sins),
التفاسير:
7
:
96
أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ
7. When he sees himself self-sufficient [1].
[1]. In terms of wealth, honor, and rank.
التفاسير:
8
:
96
إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ
8. Indeed, to your Lord (Allāh) is the (final) Return.
التفاسير:
9
:
96
أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يَنۡهَىٰ
9. Have you seen him (the unbeliever) who forbids,
التفاسير:
10
:
96
عَبۡدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ
10. A servant (of God) when he prays?
التفاسير:
11
:
96
أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ
11. Have you seen if he is on right guidance (from God)?
التفاسير:
12
:
96
أَوۡ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓ
12. Or he enjoined (people) piety?
