76. Y Al-lah expone (también) el ejemplo de dos hombres. Uno es un inepto, además de ser mudo de nacimiento[470], y es una carga para su señor: allí donde lo mande no le es de utilidad; mientras que el otro ordena la justicia y está en el camino recto. ¿Acaso pueden equipararse?
[470] Al-lah compara aquí al inepto y mudo con los ídolos porque estos no tienen poder para hacer nada y no pueden escuchar las súplicas de quienes los invocan ni pueden responderles, por lo que no benefician a los hombres ni les son de utilidad. Hay que tener en consideración que, antiguamente, la persona sorda de nacimiento solía ser muda y no disponía de una manera de comunicación, por este motivo Al-lah escoge este ejemplo como metáfora de los ídolos, para que la gente de la época lo entendiera. Como en el ejemplo anterior, los ídolos, incapaces de hacer nada, no pueden compararse con Al-lah.
