62 : 2

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ

62. Indeed those who believe (of this nation - Muslims), and those who were Jews, or Nazarenes, or Sabians (before the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ) whoever believed in Allāh and the Last Day and acted righteously, they will have their reward from their Lord (Allāh), upon them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. info

63 : 2

وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمُ ٱلطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم بِقُوَّةٖ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ

63. And (remember) when We took your covenant and raised the Mount (Sinai) over you, saying: "Hold firmly to what We have given you (the Law -Torah) with determination and bear in mind what is in it, so that you may guard yourselves against evil." info

64 : 2

ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَۖ فَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ

64. But then you turned away after that; if it were not for the Favor of Allāh upon you and His mercy, you would surely have been among the losers. info

65 : 2

وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱعۡتَدَوۡاْ مِنكُمۡ فِي ٱلسَّبۡتِ فَقُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَٰسِـِٔينَ

65. And you had already known about those among you who transgressed concerning the Sabbath, so We said to them: "Be apes, despised." info

66 : 2

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا نَكَٰلٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهَا وَمَا خَلۡفَهَا وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

66. So We made it a deterrent punishment for what between its two hands (i.e., their own generation) and what is behind it (i.e. succeeding generations), and an admonition for the righteous. info

67 : 2

وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُكُمۡ أَن تَذۡبَحُواْ بَقَرَةٗۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوٗاۖ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ

67. And when Moses said to his people, "Indeed, Allāh commands you to slaughter a cow [23]. They said: "Do you make a mockery of us?" (Moses) said: "I seek refuge in Allāh from being one of the ignorant." info

[23]. As atonement for an unsolved murder. The slaughter of the cow was also intended to cut off their hearts from the love of worshiping the calf. The problem wasn't only the murder, but their idolatry.

68 : 2

قَالُواْ ٱدۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٞ لَّا فَارِضٞ وَلَا بِكۡرٌ عَوَانُۢ بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَۖ فَٱفۡعَلُواْ مَا تُؤۡمَرُونَ

68. They said: "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what (cow) it is." Moses said: He says, "It is a cow neither old, nor virgin, but median between that; so do what you are commanded." info

69 : 2

قَالُواْ ٱدۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا لَوۡنُهَاۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٞ صَفۡرَآءُ فَاقِعٞ لَّوۡنُهَا تَسُرُّ ٱلنَّٰظِرِينَ

69. They said: "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what its color is." (Moses) said: He says, "It is a yellow cow; bright in color - pleasing to the beholders." info
