آية: 17

أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَسَالَتۡ أَوۡدِيَةُۢ بِقَدَرِهَا فَٱحۡتَمَلَ ٱلسَّيۡلُ زَبَدٗا رَّابِيٗاۖ وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلنَّارِ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ حِلۡيَةٍ أَوۡ مَتَٰعٖ زَبَدٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَٱلۡبَٰطِلَۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذۡهَبُ جُفَآءٗۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمۡكُثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَالَ

17. He sends down water from the sky, then watercourses flow according to their capacity, and the flood bears (on its surface) swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for making ornaments or utensils a foam like it. Thus does Allah compare Truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it fades away as dirt upon the banks; but as for what benefits the people, it remains in the earth. Thus does Allah set forth examples (for the people)7.

7. The Prophet Muhammad said, "The example of the guidance and knowledge with which Allah God has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends God's religion, Islam, and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah God has revealed through me (and learns and then teaches others). The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take God's guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)".
