وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۖ وَمِنۡ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِهِۦۚ وَمَا يَجۡحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
47. Thus We have sent down to you the Book [the Qur’an]. So those whom We have given them the Scripture before believe in it [25], and also of these [pagans] there are those [wise people] who believed in it. None reject in Our verses [of the Qur’an] except the disbelievers.
[25]. Because they find in their own Scriptures descriptions of the Qur’ān and the prophethood of Muḥammad ﷺ. The People of the Book who possess true knowledge recognize the signs foretold in the Torah and the Gospel—signs of the final Messenger, his qualities, his community, and the characteristics of the Revelation given to him. Therefore, when the Qur’ān came, those who were sincere and knowledgeable among them believed in it, as it perfectly matched what they had already known from their Scriptures.
