Ayah: 1

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ
وَيْلٌ: شَرٌّ، وَهَلَاكٌ.
هُمَزَةٍ: مُغْتَابٍ لِلنَّاسِ.
لُّمَزَةٍ: طَعَّانٍ فيِ النَّاسِ.

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
وَعَدَّدَهُ: أَحْصَاهُ.

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
يَحْسَبُ: يَظُنُّ.
أَخْلَدَهُ: أَبْقَاهُ خَالِدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا.

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
كَلَّا: لَيْسَ الأَمْرُ كَمَا يَظُنُّ.
لَيُنبَذَنَّ: لَيُطْرَحَنَّ.
الْحُطَمَةِ: النَّارِ الَّتِي تَهْشِمُ كُلَّ مَا يُلْقَى فِيهَا.

فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ: يُعَذَّبُونَ فِي أَعْمِدَةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ، أَوْ أَنَّ أَبْوَابَهَا مُغْلَقَةٌ بِأَعْمِدَةٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ؛ لِئَلَّا يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا.
