Ayah: 1

وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗا
وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا: قَسَمٌ بِالرِّيَاحِ حِينَ تَهُبُّ مُتَتَابِعَةً يَقْفُو بَعْضُهَا أَثَرَ بَعْضٍ.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗا
فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا: قَسَمٌ بِالرِّيَاحِ شَدِيدَةِ الهُبُوبِ المُهْلِكَةِ.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 3

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗا
وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا: قَسَمٌ باِلمَلَائِكَةِ المُوكَلِينَ بِالسُّحُبِ يَسُوقُونَها حَيْثُ شَاءَ اللهُ.

Ayah: 4

فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗا
فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا: قَسَمٌ بِالمَلَائِكَةِ الَّتِي تَنْزِلُ بِما يَفْرِقُ بَيْنَ الحَقِّ، وَالبَاطِلِ.

Ayah: 5

فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا: قَسَمٌ بِالمَلَائِكَةِ الَّتِي تَتَلَقَّى الوَحْيَ مِنَ اللهِ، وَتَنْزِلُ بِهِ عَلَى الأَنْبِيَاءِ.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 6

عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا
عُذْرًا: إِعْذَارًا مِنَ اللهِ إِلَى خَلْقِهِ.
نُذْرًا: لِلإِنْذَارِ مِنَ اللهِ إَلَى خَلْقِهِ.

Ayah: 7

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
تُوعَدُونَ: مِنْ أَمْرِ القِيَامَةِ وَمَا فِيهَا مِنْ جَزَاءٍ، وَحِسَابٍ.

Ayah: 8

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ
طُمِسَتْ: مُحِيَتْ، وَذَهَبَ نُورُهَا.

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ
فُرِجَتْ: تَصَدَّعَتْ، وَتَشَقَّقَتْ.

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ
نُسِفَتْ: تَطَايَرَتْ، وَتَنَاثَرَتْ.

وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ
أُقِّتَتْ: عُيِّنَ لَهُمْ وَقْتٌ وَأَجَلٌ، لِلْفَصْلِ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ أُمَمِهِمْ.

Ayah: 12

لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ
لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ: لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ أُخِّرَتِ الرُّسُلُ.

Ayah: 13

لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ: لِيَوْمٍ يُفْصَلُ فِيهِ وَيُقْضَى بَيْنَ الخَلَائِقِ.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ
مَّاءٍ مَّهِينٍ: ضَعِيفٍ حَقِيرٍ؛ وَهُوَ النُّطْفَةُ.

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍ
قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ: مَكَانٍ حَصِينٍ مُتَمَكِّنٍ.

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
قَدَرٍ: وَقْتٍ.

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا
كِفَاتًا: وِعَاءً تَضُمُّ الأَحْيَاءَ وَالأَمْوَاتَ.

أَحۡيَآءٗ وَأَمۡوَٰتٗا

وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتٖ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءٗ فُرَاتٗا
رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ: جِبَالًا ثَوَابِتَ، مُرْتَفِعَاتٍ.
فُرَاتًا: عَذْبًا، سَائِغًا.

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلّٖ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٖ
ظِلٍّ: هُوَ دُخَانُ جَهَنَّمَ.
ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ: يَتَفَرَّعُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثُ قِطَعٍ.

Ayah: 31

لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
لَا ظَلِيلٍ: لَا يُظِلُّ مِنْ حَرِّ ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ.
وَلَا يُغْنِي: لَا يَدْفَعُ، وَلَا يَقِي.

Ayah: 32

إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
بِشَرَرٍ: الشَّرَارَةُ: مَا يَتَطَايَرُ مِنَ النَّارِ.
كَالْقَصْرِ: كَالبِنَاءِ المُشَيَّدِ فِي العِظَمِ وَالاِرْتِفَاعِ.

Ayah: 33

كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞ
جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ: كَأَنَّ الشَّرَرَ إِبِلٌ سُودٌ يَمِيلُ لَوْنُهَا إِلَى الصُّفْرَةِ.

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٞ فَكِيدُونِ
كَيْدٌ: حِيلَةٌ فِي الخَلَاصِ مِنَ العَذَابِ.

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلٖ وَعُيُونٖ
ظِلَالٍ: ظِلِّ الأَشْجَارِ الوَارِفَةِ.

وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ

كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
هَنِيئًا: مُتَهَنِّئِينَ مِنْ غَيْرِ تَنْغِيصٍ، وَلَا كَدَرٍ.

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ: كِتَابٍ وَكَلَامٍ بَعْدَ القُرْآنِ.
