Translation of the meanings Ayah: (4) Surah: Ash-Shams

Ayah: 4

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَىٰهَا
শপথ রাতের, যখন সে সূর্যকে আচ্ছাদিত করে [১],
[১] অর্থাৎ শপথ রাত্রির যখন সে সূর্যকে আচ্ছাদিত করে। এর অর্থ, সূর্যের কিরণকে ঢেকে দেয়। এর আরেকটি অর্থ হতে পারে, আর তা হলো, শপথ রাত্রির, যখন তা পৃথিবীকে আচ্ছাদিত করে; ফলে পৃথিবী অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন হয়ে যায়। [কুরতুবী]
