Ayah: 1

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
Tako mi jutra
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
i noći kad se utiša,

Ayah: 3

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Gospodar tvoj nije te ni napustio ni omrznuo!

Ayah: 4

وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
Ahiret je, zaista, bolji za tebe od ovog svijeta,

Ayah: 5

وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
a Gospodar tvoj će tebi, sigurno, dati, pa ćeš zadovoljan biti.

أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
Zar te siročetom ne nađe, pa ti utočište dade,

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ
i zalutalim te nađe, pa te uputi,

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
i siromahom te nađe, pa te bogatim učini?

Ayah: 9

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
Zato, siroče ne okahari,

Ayah: 10

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
i onoga ko traži ne odbij,

وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
i o blagodati Gospodara svoga kazuj!
