Translation of the meanings Ayah: (123) Surah: Āl-‘Imrān
وَلَقَدۡ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِبَدۡرٖ وَأَنتُمۡ أَذِلَّةٞۖ فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ
(123) Indeed Allah made you ˹emerge˺ victorious in Badr[683] when you were scorned[684]—be Mindful of Allah so that you may be thankful.
[683] Now the telling turns to the great Battle of Badr to cite as an example of how Mindfulness and holding one’s ground (Aya 125) wins battles.
[684] Adhillah, they were the weaker party, derided because they were lesser in number and armament than their enemy.
