Translation of the meanings Ayah: (35) Surah: Āl-‘Imrān
إِذۡ قَالَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُ عِمۡرَٰنَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرۡتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطۡنِي مُحَرَّرٗا فَتَقَبَّلۡ مِنِّيٓۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
(35) ˹Mention˺ When the woman[558] of ʿImrān said: “My Lord, I have vowed what is in my belly[559] entirely ˹dedicated˺ for You[560], so accept ˹it˺ from me. You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing[561]”.
[558] His wife.
[559] Womb.
[560] The carried child is to be dedicated to the worship of Allah and is to spend an entire life tending places of worship. (al-Wāḥidī, Ibn Kathīr)
[561] Of the truthfulness of my intentions.
