Ayah: 35

وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمۡ عِندَ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ إِلَّا مُكَآءٗ وَتَصۡدِيَةٗۚ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ
(35) Their Prayer at the House was nothing but ˹hollow˺ whistling and clapping; taste then the punishment[1929] for your ˹adamant˺ Denying.
[1929] Their humiliating defeat, killing and captivation at Badr (cf. al-Ṭabarī, Ibn ʿĀshūr).
