فَلَمَّآ أَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَبۡطِشَ بِٱلَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوّٞ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقۡتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسَۢا بِٱلۡأَمۡسِۖ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُصۡلِحِينَ
19. So when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy to them both, he said: " Moses, do you want to kill me [10] as you killed a person yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land, and you do not want to be of the reformers."
[10]. I.e., the Israelite or the Coptic thought that Moses wanted to strike him.
