Translation of the Meanings of the Noble Qur'an - English Translation - Abdullah Hasan Yaqoub * - Translations’ Index

Translation of the meanings Ayah: (134) Surah: Āl-‘Imrān
134. Those who spend (in the Cause of Allah) in times of prosperity as well as in times of hardship47, who restrain 'their' anger and pardon the people48; for Allāh loves the good-doers.
47. Mohammad, God's messenger said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being". If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding means by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all this will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the obligatory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity."
48. God's Messenger said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger."
