Translation of the meanings Ayah: (22) Surah: Fātir
وَمَا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡأَحۡيَآءُ وَلَا ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰتُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسۡمِعُ مَن يَشَآءُۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُسۡمِعٖ مَّن فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ
22. Neither are the living and the dead alike. Allah makes whom He wills hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in the graves⁷.
7. The four examples given by Allah in verses 19-22 are those of the believer and unbeliever, disbelief and belief, Paradise and Hellfire, and those receptive to guidance and those unreceptive.
