Ayah: 1

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ
1 Ne connais-tu pas le sort réservé par ton Seigneur à l’armée des éléphants[1608] ?
[1608] Une armée venue, avant l’avènement de l’islam, du Yémen sur des éléphants afin de détruire le Sanctuaire de la Mecque, mais qui fut exterminée comme le décrit cette sourate (Voir la biographie du Prophète en annexe).

أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِي تَضۡلِيلٖ
2 N’a-t-Il pas déjoué leur plan malveillant,
