Translation of the meanings Ayah: (187) Surah: Āl-‘Imrān
وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكۡتُمُونَهُۥ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمۡ وَٱشۡتَرَوۡاْ بِهِۦ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلٗاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَا يَشۡتَرُونَ
Και (ανάφερε, ω, Μωχάμμαντ) όταν ο Αλλάχ πήρε τη δέσμευση απ' αυτούς (Εβραίους και Χριστιανούς) στους οποίους δόθηκε το Βιβλίο (η Τορά και το Ιν-τζήλ -πρωτότυπο Ευαγγέλιο- του Ιησού), ότι: «Να το καταστήσετε σαφές (το Βιβλίο του Αλλάχ) στους ανθρώπους και να μην το αποκρύψετε.» Αλλά εκείνοι το έριξαν πίσω από την πλάτη τους και το αντάλλαξαν με μικρό τίμημα. Πόσο άθλιο είναι αυτό (το τίμημα) που πήραν σε αντάλλαγμα (για το Βιβλίο του Αλλάχ)!
