Ayah: 42

وَإِذۡ قَالَتِ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَآءِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Και (ανάφερε, ω, Μωχάμμαντ) όταν οι άγγελοι είπαν: «Ω, Μαρία! Ο Αλλάχ σε επέλεξε (λόγω της συχνής λατρείας σου προς Αυτόν και του καλού χαρακτήρα σου), και σε εξάγνισε (από οποιονδήποτε κακό χαρακτήρα), και σε επέλεξε (υψώνοντας εσένα πάνω) από όλες τις γυναίκες του κόσμου (της εποχής σου).
