ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيۡكَۚ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ إِذۡ يُلۡقُونَ أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ أَيُّهُمۡ يَكۡفُلُ مَرۡيَمَ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ إِذۡ يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
Αυτό είναι ένα μέρος από τις ειδήσεις των αοράτων, που αποκαλύπτουμε σ’ εσένα (ω, Μωχάμμαντ). Δεν ήσουν μαζί τους, όταν έριχναν κλήρο με τις ξύλινες πένες τους για το ποιος θα αναλάβει τη φροντίδα της Μαρίας• ούτε ήσουν μαζί τους όταν διαφωνούσαν (για το ποιος δικαιούται περισσότερο να φροντίσει τη Μαρία, επειδή ο πατέρας της πέθανε πριν γεννηθεί).
