Translation of the meanings Ayah: (72) Surah: Al-Ahzāb
إِنَّا عَرَضۡنَا ٱلۡأَمَانَةَ عَلَى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلۡجِبَالِ فَأَبَيۡنَ أَن يَحۡمِلۡنَهَا وَأَشۡفَقۡنَ مِنۡهَا وَحَمَلَهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ ظَلُومٗا جَهُولٗا
Πράγματι, προσφέραμε [ως επιλογή και όχι εντολή] το καταπίστευμα (δηλ. τη θρησκεία και τις υποχρεωτικές πράξεις) στους ουρανούς, τη γη και τα βουνά (που αν θα το τηρούσαν, θα ανταμείβονταν, και αν το παραμελούσαν, θα τιμωρούνταν), αλλά εκείνοι [ως επιλογή τους] αρνήθηκαν να το αντέξουν και το φοβήθηκαν. Αλλά ο άνθρωπος το δέχτηκε, και είναι πράγματι άδικος (για τον εαυτό του) και αδαής (για τη συνέπεια της επιλογής του αν δεν την τηρούσε).
