نِّصْفَهٗۤ اَوِ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِیْلًا ۟ۙ
अगर चाहें तो आधी रात नमाज़ पढ़ें, या आधी रात से थोड़ा-सा कम पढ़ें यहाँ तक कि एक तिहाई तक पहुँच जाएँ।

• أهمية قيام الليل وتلاوة القرآن وذكر الله والصبر للداعية إلى الله.
• अल्लाह की ओर बुलाने का कार्य करने वाले के लिए रात में जागकर नमाज़ पढ़ने, क़ुरआन की तिलावत करने, अल्लाह का ज़िक्र करने और धैर्य से काम लेने का महत्व।
• فراغ القلب في الليل له أثر في الحفظ والفهم.
• रात में हृदय के खाली होने का याद करने और समझने पर प्रभाव पड़ता है।
• تحمّل التكاليف يقتضي تربية صارمة.
• शरई ज़िम्मेदारियों को वहन करने के लिए सख्त तरबियत की आवश्यकता होती है।।
• الترف والتوسع في التنعم يصدّ عن سبيل الله.
• विलासिता और आनंद का विस्तार, अल्लाह के मार्ग से रोकता है।
