Translation of the meanings Ayah: (60) Surah: An-Noor
وَالْقَوَاعِدُ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ الّٰتِیْ لَا یَرْجُوْنَ نِكَاحًا فَلَیْسَ عَلَیْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ اَنْ یَّضَعْنَ ثِیَابَهُنَّ غَیْرَ مُتَبَرِّجٰتٍ بِزِیْنَةٍ ؕ— وَاَنْ یَّسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَیْرٌ لَّهُنَّ ؕ— وَاللّٰهُ سَمِیْعٌ عَلِیْمٌ ۟
तथा जो बूढ़ी स्त्रियाँ विवाह की आशा न रखती हों, उनपर कोई दोष नहीं कि अपनी (पर्दे की) चादरें उतारकर रख दें, प्रतिबंध यह है कि किसी प्रकार की शोभा का प्रदर्शन करने वाली न हों। और यदि (इससे भी) बचें[43] तो उनके लिए अधिक अच्छा है। और अल्लाह सब कुछ सुनने वाला, सब कुछ जानने वाला है।
43. अर्थात पर्दे की चादर न उतारें।
