अल्-लैल

Ayah: 1

وَالَّیْلِ اِذَا یَغْشٰی ۟ۙ
रात की क़सम, जब वह छा जाए।

Ayah: 2

وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰی ۟ۙ
और दिन की क़सम, जब वह रौशन हो जाए!

Ayah: 3

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُ ۟ۙ
तथा नर और मादा को पैदा करने की क़सम।

Ayah: 4

اِنَّ سَعْیَكُمْ لَشَتّٰی ۟ؕ
निःसंदेह तुम्हारे प्रयास विविध हैं।[1]
1. (1-4) इन आयतों का भावार्थ यह है कि जिस प्रकार रात-दिन तथा नर-मादा (स्त्री-पुरुष) भिन्न हैं, और उनके लक्षण और प्रभाव भी भिन्न हैं, इसी प्रकार मानवजाति (इनसान) के विश्वास, कर्म भी दो भिन्न प्रकार के हैं। और दोनों के प्रभाव और परिणाम भी विभिन्न हैं।

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اَعْطٰی وَاتَّقٰی ۟ۙ
फिर जिसने (दान) दिया और (अवज्ञा से) बचा।

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنٰی ۟ۙ
और सबसे अच्छी बात को सत्य माना।

فَسَنُیَسِّرُهٗ لِلْیُسْرٰی ۟ؕ
तो निश्चय हम उसके लिए भलाई को आसान कर देंगे।

وَاَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنٰی ۟ۙ
लेकिन वह (व्यक्ति) जिसने कंजूसी की और बेपरवाही बरती।

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنٰی ۟ۙ
और सबसे अच्छी बात को झुठलाया।
