Ayah: 204

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ فَٱسۡتَمِعُواْ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُواْ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ
Dan apabila dibacakan Al-Qur`an, maka dengarkanlah dan diamlah, agar kamu mendapat rahmat."355)
*355) Jika dibacakan Al-Qur`an kita diwajibkan mendengar dan memperhatikan sambil berdiam diri, baik di dalam salat maupun di luar salat, kecuali dalam salat berjamaah makmum boleh membaca surah Al-Fātiḥah sendiri atau mendengarkan saja ketika imam membaca ayat-ayat Al-Qur`an.
