Translation of the meanings Surah: Āl-‘Imrān   Ayah:

Ayah: 166

وَمَآ أَصَٰبَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ فَبِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
E ciò che vi è accaduto il giorno in cui si confrontarono i due eserciti, era per volontà di Allāh, e per distinguere i veri credenti,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 167

وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ نَافَقُواْۚ وَقِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ قَٰتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَوِ ٱدۡفَعُواْۖ قَالُواْ لَوۡ نَعۡلَمُ قِتَالٗا لَّٱتَّبَعۡنَٰكُمۡۗ هُمۡ لِلۡكُفۡرِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَقۡرَبُ مِنۡهُمۡ لِلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِم مَّا لَيۡسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَكۡتُمُونَ
e per distinguere gli ipocriti, ed è stato detto loro: “Venite a combattere in favore di Allāh, o partecipate economicamente!” Dissero: “Se sapessimo combattere, vi avremmo seguiti!” Quel giorno erano più vicini alla miscredenza che alla fede: pronunciavano con la bocca ciò che non era nei loro cuori, e Allāh sa meglio ciò che nascondevano.

Ayah: 168

ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُواْ لِإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡ وَقَعَدُواْ لَوۡ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُواْۗ قُلۡ فَٱدۡرَءُواْ عَنۡ أَنفُسِكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
Quelli che dissero ai confratelli, restando a casa: «Se ci avessero obbedito, non sarebbero stati uccisi!» Di’: «Impedite a voi stessi la morte, se siete veritieri!»

Ayah: 169

وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٰتَۢاۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ يُرۡزَقُونَ
E non considerare morti quelli che sono stati uccisi combattendo per la causa di Allāh: sono invece vivi dal loro Dio, nella Sua grazia,

Ayah: 170

فَرِحِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَيَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يَلۡحَقُواْ بِهِم مِّنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ أَلَّا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
compiaciuti della grazia che ha concesso loro Allāh e gioiosi per quelli che non li hanno raggiunti, venendo dopo di loro: in verità non hanno niente da temere né da rattristarsi.

Ayah: 171

۞ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ بِنِعۡمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَفَضۡلٖ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجۡرَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Sono gioiosi per la grazia e i favori avuti da Allāh. E in verità Allāh non fa perdere il merito dei credenti,

Ayah: 172

ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ ٱلۡقَرۡحُۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحۡسَنُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ أَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٌ
i quali hanno risposto all’appello di Allāh e del Suo Messaggero dopo il danno ricevuto; per quelli tra loro che hanno fatto il bene e sono stati devoti, c’è una grande ricompensa.

Ayah: 173

ٱلَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ قَدۡ جَمَعُواْ لَكُمۡ فَٱخۡشَوۡهُمۡ فَزَادَهُمۡ إِيمَٰنٗا وَقَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡوَكِيلُ
Quelli a cui la gente disse: «In verità il nemico si è riunito contro di voi, temetelo!», ciò gli è stato utile soltanto a rafforzare la loro fede, e dissero: «A noi è sufficiente Allāh e Lui è il migliore dei protettori!»
