Al-Muzzammil

Ayah: 1

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُزَّمِّلُ
O tu che ti sei ammantato!
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

قُمِ ٱلَّيۡلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا
Veglia (prega) per tutta la notte tranne una piccola parte,

نِّصۡفَهُۥٓ أَوِ ٱنقُصۡ مِنۡهُ قَلِيلًا
o per la sua metà, o poco meno,

أَوۡ زِدۡ عَلَيۡهِ وَرَتِّلِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَرۡتِيلًا
o poco di più, e recita il Corano, scandendolo.

إِنَّا سَنُلۡقِي عَلَيۡكَ قَوۡلٗا ثَقِيلًا
In verità faremo scendere su di te parole solenni!

إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ ٱلَّيۡلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطۡـٔٗا وَأَقۡوَمُ قِيلًا
In verità la veglia notturna è più adatta a memorizzare e più adatta alla lettura.

Ayah: 7

إِنَّ لَكَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ سَبۡحٗا طَوِيلٗا
In verità di giorno hai i tuoi lunghi affari.

وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلۡ إِلَيۡهِ تَبۡتِيلٗا
E invoca il nome del tuo Dio e dedica te stesso, completamente, a Lui.

Ayah: 9

رَّبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذۡهُ وَكِيلٗا
Dio del Levante e del Ponente, non c’è divinità all’infuori di Lui: fanne il tuo Protettore!

Ayah: 10

وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهۡجُرۡهُمۡ هَجۡرٗا جَمِيلٗا
E sopporta ciò che dicono e allontanati da loro con delicatezza,

Ayah: 11

وَذَرۡنِي وَٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ أُوْلِي ٱلنَّعۡمَةِ وَمَهِّلۡهُمۡ قَلِيلًا
e lasciaMi con i rinnegatori tra i ricchi, e dà loro una breve proroga.

إِنَّ لَدَيۡنَآ أَنكَالٗا وَجَحِيمٗا
In verità abbiamo catene e fuoco,

وَطَعَامٗا ذَا غُصَّةٖ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا
e cibo che soffoca e severa punizione,

يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَثِيبٗا مَّهِيلًا
il Giorno in cui la terra e i monti tremeranno, e i monti diverranno simili a mucchi di sabbia sparsa.

Ayah: 15

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكُمۡ رَسُولٗا شَٰهِدًا عَلَيۡكُمۡ كَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ رَسُولٗا
In verità vi abbiamo inviato un Messaggero, testimone per voi, come inviammo un Messaggero al Faraone,

Ayah: 16

فَعَصَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ أَخۡذٗا وَبِيلٗا
ma il Faraone disobbedì al Messaggero, e lo prendemmo con una forte stretta.

Ayah: 17

فَكَيۡفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِن كَفَرۡتُمۡ يَوۡمٗا يَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنَ شِيبًا
Come crederete, se siete miscredenti, al Giorno che farà diventare canuti i bambini?

Ayah: 18

ٱلسَّمَآءُ مُنفَطِرُۢ بِهِۦۚ كَانَ وَعۡدُهُۥ مَفۡعُولًا
Il cielo allora si squarcerà e si avvererà ciò che è stato preannunciato.

Ayah: 19

إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةٞۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا
In verità questo è un avvertimento: chi vuole segua la strada verso il suo Dio.

Ayah: 20

۞ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدۡنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَيِ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَنِصۡفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٞ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَكَۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَۚ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحۡصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَٱقۡرَءُواْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِۚ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرۡضَىٰ وَءَاخَرُونَ يَضۡرِبُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ يَبۡتَغُونَ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَءَاخَرُونَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَٱقۡرَءُواْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنۡهُۚ وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗاۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُواْ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنۡ خَيۡرٖ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا وَأَعۡظَمَ أَجۡرٗاۚ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمُۢ
In verità il tuo Dio sa che in verità tu e una parte dei tuoi compagni vegliate meno di due terzi o metà della notte, o un terzo. E Allāh valuta la notte e il giorno, e sa che voi mai potrete farlo, per cui vi ha perdonato. Recitate ciò che potete del Corano: Lui sa che tra voi ci sono malati e altri che viaggiano per il mondo in cerca della Grazia di Allāh, e altri che lottano per amore di Allāh. Recitate ciò che vi è possibile e praticate la preghiera con devozione e osservate la «Zekēt» e fate ad Allāh un prestito generoso. E ciò che anticipate a favore vostro di opere buone, lo ritroverete presso Allāh: quello sarà migliore e una ricompensa molto più grande. E chiedete perdono ad Allāh. In verità Allāh è Perdonatore, Misericordioso.
