Al-Qāri‘ah

Ayah: 1

ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
대재앙의 날.

مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
대재앙의 날이 무엇인가?

Ayah: 3

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
무엇이 그대에게 대재앙의 날이 무엇인지를 알려줄 것인가?

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ
그날 사람들은 마치 흩어지는 불나방들처럼 될 것이며

Ayah: 5

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ
산들은 마치 풀어진 양털처럼 될 것이라.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
그러니 자신의 행위 저울이 무거운 자는

فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ
그는 만족스런 삶을 누릴 것이라.

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
그러나 자신의 행위 저울이 가벼운 자는

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ
나락이 그의 거처라.

무엇이 그대에게 나락이 무엇인지를 알려줄 것인가?

고온의 불지옥이라.
