Ayah: 1

اَرَءَیْتَ الَّذِیْ یُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّیْنِ ۟ؕ
(അല്ലാഹു പരലോകത്ത്) പ്രതിഫലം നൽകുമെന്നതിനെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവനെ നീ കണ്ടുവോ?

فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِیْ یَدُعُّ الْیَتِیْمَ ۟ۙ
അനാഥക്കുട്ടിയെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നവനത്രെ അത്‌.

Ayah: 3

وَلَا یَحُضُّ عَلٰی طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِیْنِ ۟ؕ
പാവപ്പെട്ടവന്‍റെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്‍റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ പ്രോത്സാഹനം നടത്താതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്‍.(1)
1) പരലോകത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവരുടെ സ്ഥിതിയാണിത്. അനാഥയെ അവർ ദയയില്ലാതെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നു. സാധുക്കളെ അവർ സഹായിക്കുകയില്ല. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങൾ അത്രയും കടുത്തുപോയതു കൊണ്ടാണത്.

فَوَیْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّیْنَ ۟ۙ
എന്നാല്‍ നമസ്കാരക്കാര്‍ക്കാകുന്നു നാശം.

الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُوْنَ ۟ۙ
തങ്ങളുടെ നമസ്കാരത്തെപ്പറ്റി ശ്രദ്ധയില്ലാത്തവരായ (നമസ്കാരക്കാർക്ക്).

الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ یُرَآءُوْنَ ۟ۙ
ജനങ്ങളെ കാണിക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവരായ (നമസ്കാരക്കാർക്ക്).

وَیَمْنَعُوْنَ الْمَاعُوْنَ ۟۠
പരോപകാര വസ്തുക്കള്‍(2) അവർ മുടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
2) പരോപകാര മനസ്ഥിതിയുള്ള ആളുകള്‍ പരസ്പരം വായ്പ കൊടുക്കുന്ന വീട്ടുസാമാനങ്ങളും മറ്റും.
