وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلٰۤی اُمَمٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِالْبَاْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ ۟
४२. आणि आम्ही तुमच्यापूर्वी होऊन गेलेल्या इतर जनसमूहांकडेही पैगंबर पाठविले होते. त्यांनादेखील आम्ही गरीबी व रोगराईने धरले, यासाठी की त्यांनी गयावया करावी.
