وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِي قَرۡيَةٖ مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّآ أَخَذۡنَآ أَهۡلَهَا بِٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَضَّرَّعُونَ
Cada vez que envié un Profeta a una ciudad [y lo desmintieron], los azoté con la miseria y los padecimientos para que se volvieran humildes.
