Translation of the meanings Ayah: (263) Surah: Al-Baqarah
قَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوْفٌ وَّمَغْفِرَةٌ خَیْرٌ مِّنْ صَدَقَةٍ یَّتْبَعُهَاۤ اَذًی ؕ— وَاللّٰهُ غَنِیٌّ حَلِیْمٌ ۟
துன்புறுத்தல் பின்தொடர்கிற தர்மத்தை விட, (-ஒருவருக்கு தர்மம் செய்துவிட்டு, பிறகு அவரை துன்புறுத்துவதை விட) நல்ல சொல்லும் மன்னிப்பும் சிறந்ததாகும் (-அழகிய முறையில், “இல்லை” என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பிவிடுவதும் தர்மம் கேட்டவர் மீது கோபிக்காமல் மன்னித்துவிடுவதும் சிறந்த நடைமுறையாகும்). அல்லாஹ் மகா செல்வந்தன் (எத்தேவையுமற்றவன்), பெரும் சகிப்பாளன் ஆவான்.
