Translation of the meanings Ayah: (184) Surah: Al-Baqarah
أَيَّامٗا مَّعۡدُودَٰتٖۚ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٖ فَعِدَّةٞ مِّنۡ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَۚ وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُۥ فِدۡيَةٞ طَعَامُ مِسۡكِينٖۖ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيۡرٗا فَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّهُۥۚ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
[2.184] (คือถูกกำหนดให้ถือ) ในบรรดาวันที่ถูกนับไว้ แล้วผู้ใดในพวกเจ้าป่วยหรืออยู่ในการเดินทางก็ให้ถือใช้ในวันอื่น และหน้าที่ของบรรดาผู้ที่ถือศีลอดด้วยความลำบากยิ่ง (โดยที่เขาได้งดเว้นการถือ) นั้น คือการชดเชยอันได้แก่การให้อาหาร (มื้อหนึ่ง) แก่คนมิสกีนคนหนึ่ง (ต่อการงดเว้น จากการถือหนึ่งวัน) แต่ผู้ใดกระทำความดีโดยสมัครใจ มันก็เป็นความดีแก่เขา และการที่พวกเจ้าจะถือศีลอดนั้น ย่อมเป็นสิ่งที่ดียิ่งกว่าแก่พวกเจ้า หากพวกเจ้ารู้
