Translation of the meanings Ayah: (164) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَإِذۡ قَالَتۡ أُمَّةٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوۡمًا ٱللَّهُ مُهۡلِكُهُمۡ أَوۡ مُعَذِّبُهُمۡ عَذَابٗا شَدِيدٗاۖ قَالُواْ مَعۡذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمۡ وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ
Onlardan bir topluluk şöyle diyordu: Allah’ın helak edeceği ve şiddetli bir ceza ile cezalandıracağı topluma niye öğüt veriyorsunuz? Rabbinize karşı bir mazeret beyan edelim diye bir de belki sakınırlar/takvalı olurlar! diye cevap verdiler.
