Ayah: 22

بَلۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّهۡتَدُونَ
Та ж ні! Вони говорять: «Воістину, ми знайшли, що наші батьки були об’єднані цією вірою, тож ми йдемо по їхніх слідах!»[CDVI]
[CDVI] «Об’єднані цією вірою» («аля уммат-ін»): як свідчить ібн Касір та більшість інших тлумачів, поняття «умма» (громада, народ, спільнота віруючих) тут вжите у значенні «дін» (релігія). У такому значенні «умма» фігурує і в багатьох інших аятах Корану.
