Ayah: 34

وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
Và hãy nhớ lại khi TA (Allah) phán cho các Thiên Thần: “Hãy phủ phục(20) trước Adam!” Bởi thế, chúng phủ phục ngoại trừ Iblis(21) đã từ chối và ngạo mạn. Và nó trở thành một tên phản nghịch.
(20) Hình thức phủ phụ là quỳ mọp chào hỏi. (21) Iblis không phải là Thiên thần. Nó thuộc loài Jinn (Q.7:12; 55:15) Iblis là lãnh đạo của lũ Shaytan. Iblis tiêu biểu cho sự tự cao tự đại. Shaytan tiêu biểu cho sự lường gạt, lừa dối.
