Những người La Mã[126] đã bị đánh bại.

فِيٓ أَدۡنَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ غَلَبِهِمۡ سَيَغۡلِبُونَ
Tại một lãnh thổ gần kề[127]; nhưng sau cuộc chiến bại, họ sẽ chiến thắng trở lại.
[127] Tại Sham, ngày nay gồm: Syria, I-rắc, Jordan và Palestine.

فِي بِضۡعِ سِنِينَۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَمِنۢ بَعۡدُۚ وَيَوۡمَئِذٖ يَفۡرَحُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
Trong một thời gian ngắn. Đó là công việc của Allah trước và sau. Và vào ngày đó, những người tin tưởng sẽ vui mừng,

بِنَصۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Về sự trợ giúp của Allah. Ngài giúp đỡ người nào Ngài muốn (để cho họ chiến thắng) bởi vì Ngài là Đấng Toàn Năng, Đấng Bao Dung.
