Translation of the meanings Ayah: (114) Surah: At-Tawbah
وَمَا كَانَ ٱسۡتِغۡفَارُ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَن مَّوۡعِدَةٖ وَعَدَهَآ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُۥٓ أَنَّهُۥ عَدُوّٞ لِّلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنۡهُۚ إِنَّ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَأَوَّٰهٌ حَلِيمٞ
Thật ra việc cầu xin tha thứ của Ibrahim cho cha của Y trước kia chẳng qua chỉ vì lời hứa mà Y đã hứa với cha mình. Nhưng khi (Ibrahim) đã rõ rằng cha của mình là kẻ thù của Allah, Y đã tách mình ra khỏi ông ta. Thật vậy, Ibrahim là người năng cầu nguyện (Allah) và có lòng kiên nhẫn chịu đựng.
