Al-Infitār

آیه: 1

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ

1. When the sky is cleft asunder.

آیه: 2

وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ

2. And the stars are dispersed,

آیه: 3

وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ

3. And the seas burst forth,

آیه: 4

وَإِذَا ٱلۡقُبُورُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ

4. And the graves are overturned (bringing out their contents),

آیه: 5

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ

5. Every soul will know what it has sent forth and what it has left behind¹.

1. of good or bad deeds

آیه: 6

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ

6. O man, what has distracted you from (Allah) your Lord, the Most Generous;

آیه: 7

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ

7. Who created you proportionately and balanced you?

آیه: 8

فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ

8. In whatever form He willed He assembled you.

آیه: 9

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ

9. No, But you deny the Recompense.

آیه: 10

وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَٰفِظِينَ

10. While there are angelic guards watching over you;

آیه: 11

كِرَامٗا كَٰتِبِينَ

11. Honorable scribes,

آیه: 12

يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ

12. Who know (and record) all that you do.

آیه: 13

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٖ

13. The virtuous will be in Bliss,

آیه: 14

وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٖ

14. And the wicked will be in blazing Fire,

آیه: 15

يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ

15. Which they will (enter and) burn on the Day of (Judgement and) Recompense;

آیه: 16

وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ

16. They will never be absent from it.

آیه: 17

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

17. What will make you know what the Day of (Judgement and) Recompense is?

آیه: 18

ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

18. Again, what will make you know what tthe Day of (Judgement and) Recompense is?

آیه: 19

يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٞ لِّنَفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ

19. It is the Day when no soul will have power to do anything for (another) soul. And the Command that Day will be (solely) for Allah.
