Al-Qadr

Aaya: 1

إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

1. We have sent down the Qur’an during the Night of Decree¹.

1. In which the year’s events are released.

Aaya: 2

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

2. How do you know what the Night of Decree is?

Aaya: 3

لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ

3. The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

Aaya: 4

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ

4. The angels and the holy spirit (Gabriel) descend in it by the Permission of their Lord (Allah) with all Decrees².

2. To determine everyone's destiny that is decreed by Allah from that year to the next.

Aaya: 5

سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ

5. This night is all peace (upon the believers) until the break of dawn.
