Verset: 18

ٱلَّذِينَ يَسۡتَمِعُونَ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحۡسَنَهُۥٓۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ

those who listen to speech^[9] and follow the best of it. They are the ones whom Allah has guided, and they are the people of understanding.

[9] i.e. the Qur’an or another speech, then follow the best option, such as opting for forgiveness instead of retaliation.
