5. Perhaps his Lord 'Allāh', if he (the Prophet) were to divorce you, will give him in your place wives better than you - who are Muslims, believers, obedient, repentant, dedicated to worship, fasting and serving in missionary works5 - ones previously married and virgins.
5. In da'wah works, woman is like man, she has her duty to preach to Allah and deny evil, because the teachings apply to everyone, the Quran applies to everyone, the Sunnah applies to everyone. She must call to Allah, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, according to the Islamic decency that is required of a man. She must also be an example in chastity, and in observing Hijab from non-Mahram men, and avoiding displaying her beauty and reprehensible mixing. Her preaching should be far from anything that would denounce her acts. If she preaches men, she calls them while wearing Hijab and without being alone with them.
In the previous Scriptures before the Qur’an we also read:
Timothy 2: 11-12, “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.” This clearly precludes women from serving as teaching pastors over men. Women are encouraged to teach other women.
Due to the inherent dangers of missionary work, it is usually best for women not to serve as missionaries on their own. Husband-and-wife teams and/or teams of women partnering with men and/or other women seem to be the best setup for da'wah work. But in no sense should this discourage women from da'wah work. Allāh calls women, single and married, to serve Him on the mission field. And Allāh often uses women preaches in powerful and amazing ways.
